Tile and flooring work covers the part of a bathroom remodel that takes the most abuse over time: the floor, shower pan, walls around the tub or shower, and any waterproofing underneath. That includes substrate prep (leveling, cement board or Schluter membrane), waterproofing at wet areas, layout and setting of tile, grouting and sealing, and installing transition strips or thresholds where the bathroom meets hallway flooring.
