About this directory
What this directory is
Connecticut Bathroom Remodeler Guide lists 186 bathroom remodeling businesses across Connecticut, from small tile-and-tub outfits to full-service renovation contractors. It’s built for homeowners trying to figure out who actually does good work in their town, not just who has the biggest ad budget. Each listing gathers the public facts about a business (address, license status, years active, service area) alongside a synthesis of what recent Google reviewers are saying about the crews, the pricing, and the finished jobs.
We don’t copy and paste review text onto these pages. Instead we read through the recent review activity for each business and summarize the patterns we see: consistent praise for communication, recurring complaints about scheduling, that kind of thing. If you want to read the original reviews word for word, every listing links out to the business’s Google profile so you can see the source yourself.
How the rankings work
Rankings are earned, not assigned. Every business is scored against a published rubric that weighs star rating, review volume, and how consistent that reputation has been over time, with adjustments so a business with three glowing reviews from last month doesn’t leapfrog one with hundreds built up over years. The full breakdown of how points are calculated lives on our /methodology/ page, and it applies the same way to every listing in the state.
A business that finds an error in its own profile, wrong phone number, outdated address, a service it no longer offers, can ask us to fix it. What it cannot do is request a better score, a friendlier sentiment summary, or a higher spot in the ranking. Those numbers come only from the data, run through the same rubric as everyone else.
Sponsorship, disclosed
Some pages include sponsored placements. These are always labeled “Sponsored,” always shown apart from the earned ranking, and never blend into it. Paying for visibility doesn’t move a business up the list or change its score in any way.
We should also be straightforward about the rest of the business: Connecticut Bathroom Remodeler Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource, and we also generate enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with someone, we pass your request along to providers relevant to your request and may receive a referral fee for doing so. That arrangement is disclosed on the quote page, and it never touches scores or earned rankings, since those are kept on a separate track from any lead work.
Who’s behind it
This site is published by True Level Media, which has run independent bathroom remodeler directories across Connecticut since 2026 using the same transparent scoring approach in every market it covers. Editorial oversight of the rankings sits with Dana Whitfield, Editor. Listings get rechecked monthly, closed businesses come down promptly, and each profile carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see it’s actively maintained rather than left to go stale.

Keeping the two sides separate
The reason we spell all this out is that most directories blur the line between “who ranks highest” and “who paid the most.” We’d rather you know exactly where that line sits here. The ranking engine runs on public review data and a fixed rubric. The enquiry-matching side runs on referral fees when you ask for a quote. They don’t talk to each other, and no amount of sponsorship or lead-gen activity can nudge a score.

If you’re comparing contractors, start with the /methodology/ page to see exactly how the numbers behind each listing are built.

FAQ
- Does paying for a sponsored listing improve a business's ranking?
- No. Sponsored placements are labeled clearly and shown separately from the ranked list. Payment never changes a score or a ranking position.
- Can a business change its own review sentiment summary?
- No. A business can correct factual details like its address or phone number, but the sentiment summary and score come only from the published rubric applied to public review data.
- What happens when I request a quote through the site?
- Your enquiry is passed to providers relevant to your request, and Connecticut Bathroom Remodeler Guide may earn a referral fee. This is disclosed on the quote page and has no effect on any listing's ranking.
- How often are listings updated?
- Data is refreshed monthly. Each listing shows a last verified date, and closed businesses are removed promptly once identified.
