Jay Nadeau and Ethics Home Building have earned universal five-star reviews across 25 projects spanning decks, garages, additions, and bathrooms. Reviewers consistently praise his honesty, meticulous work, responsiveness, and willingness to solve problems beyond the original scope, often without charging extra. The business operates across Western and Central Connecticut and stands out for clear communication, punctuality, and treating each project like a long-term investment in the homeowner's satisfaction. Many clients have returned for multiple projects and actively recommend him to others.
One reviewer praised the team for converting an unfinished half bath into a fully wheelchair accessible space, citing strong craftsmanship and service throughout the project.
Three reviews over nine years paint a consistent picture: customers faced delivery delays (7 weeks quoted, then fulfilled next day elsewhere), lost orders, and undisclosed installation fees. One flooring job cost $2,000 more than initially presented; staff responses to complaints were dismissive or rude.
Dan's Renewal LLC operates from Bristol and claims over 25 years of factory-trained experience in bathtub repair, reglazing, and restoration work, including handicapped and easy-access installations. Review evidence is limited; their website lists factory-authorized warranty repairs and states they are fully insured and licensed, but no customer feedback is available to verify service quality or reliability.
Jose and his crew earn consistent praise for showing up on time, keeping work areas clean, and delivering quality results fast. Projects typically finish within days or two weeks. They explain work thoroughly, suggest cost-saving options, and treat small jobs with the same care as large ones. However, one customer reported two incomplete jobs and poor follow-up after Jose promised free work in exchange for a positive review. Another experienced a missed appointment with delayed communication. These issues emerge in bathroom remodels, decks, and fixture work, though most reviewers find the team professional and trustworthy enough to hire again.
Dan Martin and his crew deliver polished work that stays on schedule and within budget. Homeowners repeatedly praise their precision on everything from roofing to flooring, along with a neat worksite and straightforward communication throughout the job.
All 17 reviews are five-star. Reviewers consistently praise Justin Henderson and his crew for professional work, punctuality, and leaving homes clean. Bathroom and kitchen remodels, decks, and larger projects are specifically mentioned as excellently executed, with costs described as reasonable.
Brandon and his team deliver polished work across kitchens, basements, and custom projects. Their strength lies in understanding customer vision and problem-solving while maintaining a clean, professional worksite.
Fontaine's technicians consistently diagnose problems accurately and explain work clearly, with standout staff like Devin and Mike earning repeat customers. The business shines on emergency calls and complex installations (water filtration systems, boiler replacements), though one recent complaint flags difficulty reaching them by phone or email to book initial appointments. Their strength lies in honesty and candor. Reviewers describe being saved money by technicians who recommend only necessary repairs, and grateful first-time homebuyers who felt at ease throughout projects. The team responds same-day for urgent leaks and tackles tight-space plumbing challenges without overcomplicating solutions.
Paul and Elite Mechanical show up fast, even on weekends and evenings, and solve plumbing problems without the inflated quotes other shops charge. Reviewers consistently praise his honesty (he won't upsell), clear explanations, and willingness to identify and fix issues beyond the original call, all at prices that fit their budgets. His bathroom renovation and fixture installation work spans water heaters, drain repairs, faucet replacements, and full repiping jobs, delivered with clean worksites and thorough follow-ups to confirm nothing else needs attention.
